The STACYC balance bike 16 eDrive '25 is an electric balance bike that lets confident young riders step up from push-along bikes to throttle control, with a brushless 16eDRIVE platform and 20V max lithium-ion power. It blends the familiar feel of a balance bike with controlled electric assist, so kids can focus on skills, confidence, and fun.
This model suits kids who already have some time on a balance bike or earlier STACYC models and are ready for a larger, more capable machine. It is aimed at 5–7 year old riders up to 35 kg, with an inseam between 45 and 60 cm, giving them enough height and control to manage starts, stops, and low-speed manoeuvres. The 43 cm seat height and 9 kg weight with battery help keep the bike manageable as they progress.
Children can start in non-powered mode, learning to push, balance, and coast just like a traditional balance bike. Once they show good control of braking and coasting, you can introduce the powered modes so they get used to the twist throttle and learn to carry speed smoothly. Three selectable speeds let you match power to their skill: a low training mode around 8 kph, a standard mode around 12 kph, and a faster setting up to about 20 kph with the stock gearing.
