Why care pays off
Membrane clothing loses water repellency not because the membrane wears out, but because the outer fabric picks up dirt.
- Washing: use a dedicated product rather than ordinary detergent, which leaves residue.
- Proofing: restores water repellency after washing.
- Footwear: leather and textile need different products.
Skis and boards need a wax layer for summer storage to keep the base from drying out.
